Great “winter” lighters
Butane lighters don’t like to work at at temperatures below freezing since the boiling point of butane is about 31 degrees Fahrenheit. As I learned this winter these lighters work down to at least 4 degrees (the coldest I endured on my “vacation”. These are well built, easy to use and the charge lasts for weeks. It works well on paper, slivers of wood (like toothpicks, the wooden kind), cloth, etc. Glad propane lights at down to -40 degrees F since that is what I am using these for. The long stems keeps my hands away from the fire.

Impressed!
Received two of these electronic rechargeable lighters. Quality is good and both came fully charged. Most importantly, they WORK for my intended purpose which is lighting my gas grill. I have not tried to light candles with them though. Turn the propane on, stick this lighter in the hole and the grill lights, easy-peasy. I bought this to get away from running out of butane and from premature lighter failure plus the convenience of recharging versus throwing away spent lighters. This lighter has a flexible “stalk” for getting it into awkward spots. I’m happy!

Works Very Well
For the most part, this electric lighter works very well. We use it to light candles, both inside and out. I like the fact that there is no flame to blow out if you’re outside trying to light a citronella candle in the wind. It comes with a USB to USB-C charging cord and has an indicator that shows the status of the charge. The only drawback, if there is one, is that it doesn’t work very well if the wick on the candle is vary short or covered with wax that has formed when the candle was last extinguished. A traditional butane powered lighter would be able to melt the wax enough to light the wick. Other than that, we like it a lot and prefer this to the butane version.

Good alternative to annoying Gas Lighter
If you are tired of that gas lighter that takes two hands to unlock and then light the gas this maybe a good alternative. If you are lighting candles for example this works great, there is no annoying interlock and does the job. It will easily light a candle or even paper if you want to start a fire. Have not tried it on a BBQ but if you are using paper as a fire starter I am sure it will work fine. Charges via USB so you never have to worry about it not having gas like a regular gas lighter.

Works as advertised!
This electric lighter works. It will ignite a propane burner. It will ignite paper within a fraction of a second. It will ignite any charcoal infused with lighter fluid or alcohol. It will ignite survival materials like Birch bark, fatwood shavings, feather sticks, Vaseline cotton balls, and my personal favorite-dryer lint!!!!! Easy to recharge with a usb! I have so many ways to charge this lighter, from my power banks, car lighter, solar power banks, the methods are nearly endless! This is a great survival tool you need in your kit!!!My only question is durability since I only just got it for a couple days. Durability of charging and battery’s ability to hold a charge, and the electrical posts which does wear just like car sparkplugs. I never try to light anything too thick. Everything I light either has an accelerant or if it is thick I will fray the edges like cardboard paper. Candles can be lit in a fraction of a second if you fray or work the wick loose exposing its micro fibers. As a matter of fact everything I use it for light instantly. As a matter of fact, it lights a fire quicker and more reliably than my ferrocerium rods!2/18/24After three months of using I still haven’t recharge my lighter. I use it mostly for lighting a propane burner at my outdoor kitchen. I average 4 to 5 lighting per day. Each lighting only last half second. I tested my other unused spare lighter to see how much use one can expect from a fresh factory unit. I pressed the lighter until it automatically cut off, it took 9 seconds. I repeated this and was able to get approximately 30, 9 second continuous lights. That’s 270 seconds of use per charge. I prep my tinder material by fraying to achieve flames in usually half a second. With a spritz of alcohol my fireplace lights up instantaneously. This is quite amazing that I can get an average of 350+ lit fires with a single charge! This is a great life saving tool!

I used to have a traditional lighter which was so difficult to use when lighting candles or anything outside.This is perfect for any use. the build quality is excellent and seems very durable and very easy to handle.
