A new class of clarity
The 3M<&#8482>; Littmann® CORE Digital Stethoscope features the outstanding acoustics, comfort and quality of a Littmann cardiology-grade stethoscope enhanced by powerful digital technology. Features like up to 40x amplification1 and active noise cancellation can help you auscultate with greater confidence. The 3M Littmann CORE Stethoscope connects with Eko software on a smart device2 to visualize, record and share data.
Take listening to a whole new level
The FDA-cleared 3M Littmann CORE Stethoscope toggles between analog and amplified listening modes so you can listen how you want to during assessments. Tunable diaphragm technology—a 3M invention—lets you hear different frequency sounds by simply adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece. Hold the chestpiece with light pressure on the patient to hear low frequency sounds; press a little more to hear higher frequency sounds. Soft-sealing ear tips conform to individual ears for optimal comfort and excellent sound occlusion.
The 3M Littmann CORE Stethoscope works with Eko software on iOS and Android devices, giving you a HIPAA compliant means to save and annotate 15, 30, 60 or 120-second recordings in a secure dashboard. Create a library of heart sounds to monitor the progressions of a disease or for education, and securely share recordings with colleagues.
140X amplification based on comparison of analog versus electronically assisted amplified listening with maximum volume at the peak frequency (125 Hz).

Exceptional Stethoscope: Raises the Bar with Outstanding Quality and Performance
This Stethoscope Raises the Bar! Although it’s a bit pricey, I can confidently say that it sets a new standard for what a stethoscope should be. From the moment I picked it up, I could tell it was built with high-quality materials and craftsmanship. All I can say is wow! The sound quality is exceptional, making it easy to hear even the faintest heartbeats and lung sounds, which is crucial in my line of work. What’s even more impressive is how many people I’ve let try it out who also respond with a resounding wow. Many of them end up ordering one for themselves if they can afford it. While it’s not the cheapest option on the market, I genuinely believe it is worth every penny. The performance and durability you get are unparalleled compared to other stethoscopes.I also highly recommend purchasing the hard case that’s specifically designed for this stethoscope. It’s essential for protecting your investment, especially if you accidentally drop it while transporting it. Overall, this stethoscope combines quality, performance, and a touch of luxury, making it an invaluable tool for any healthcare professional. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase

    Excellent
I m very pleased with the stethoscope. I work in an internal medicine and geriatrics practice.I have used the the previous Littman electronic cuff but it no longer functions and I wanted a replacement. Additionally, it was electronic only. It did not function as an analogue cuff.I enjoy the Littman CORE device as it works in analogue OR amplified mode. One can switch back and forth instantly. I have been practicing for decades and I am familiar with non-amplified respiratory and cardiovascular findings. My entire auscultatory reference base is derived from using a conventional scope. With the CORE scope I can hear the native sound and compare it to the amplified sound. This gives me necessary context and I consider this to be a great advantage over a dedicated electronic scope.I am able to hear soft murmurs, and diastolic heart sounds more easily. It is easier to measure blood pressures. Again, the ability to go back and forth between analogue and augmentation modes is a singular advantage. Finally, the stethoscope offers typical Littman functionality. The acoustics are identical to other Littman analogue scopes I have used and the construction and comfort are comparableWith respect to the phonocardiogram, I really don’t have a strong opinion. The app works well and I can easily create and view the tracings. Since I have never had access to this function, I am probably on the bottom of the learning curve. If I were in a teaching environment this utility may be of more benefit. It is interesting and I plan to do more with it before I can frame an opinion. Be advised that there is a subscription cost if you want to do perform more than the basic functions with this app.

    Best investment for EMS
One of the best purchases I have ever made. I can hear my patients heart and lung sounds even while going down the road in the ambulance. I love this. I highly recomend these to any health care provider.

    Covered by FSA
I purchased this 3M Littmann CORE Digital Stethoscope as a raffle gift for Respiratory Care Week, and it was a huge hit! My coworker absolutely loved it. It’s a fantastic, high-quality stethoscope, and the fact that it’s FSA eligible is a great bonus. The rainbow chestpiece is also a really nice touch.

    Great sound and great look
I’ve been shopping around for a new stethoscope for a while now. After using the Littmann Classic III for 3 years I knew I wanted another Littmann. I was looking at the regular Cardiology IV and decided to splurge and get the Eko version. I’m glad I did. It sounds great with the attachment off and when using the amplification it gets even better!

This product works exceptionally well with bluetooth enabled hearing aides.
After spending a few hours on the internet I didn’t think that I would be able to get a stethoscope that would connect wirelessly to my bluetooth enabled hearing aids. That however, is exactly what the Littmann Core Stethoscope does. In my medical experience (I am a doctor: MD) the Littman cardioscope has always been an excellent instrument. If you are not wearing hearing aids, this instrument amplifies the heart and lung sounds very effectively. That part is unchanged. However, and this is the big news, you can disconnect the headphones from the stethoscope, turn on the Eko app on your bluetooth enabled cell phone (I have an Iphone), select start and connect the CORE device, choose either full cardiac exam or spot check (I prefer the full cardiac exam) and not only do you get a tracing of the heart rhythm, but the heart tones are crystal clear and easily identifiable. I can easily identify my very soft murmur of mild aortic stenosis. One important caveat: be sure that your phone volume setting is about 3 quarters of full volume to full volume. This is the most effective way to get full amplification of the heart tones. I am auscultating heart tones more effectively now (with my hearing impairment) than I was able to do when I had no hearing loss! It’s that good. One other point, because you’re not tethered to a stethoscope, you can keep a safe distance from those possibly infected patients. I plan to carry the headpiece of the stethecope in my pocket and just use it as such, without the ear pieces. Someone had commented in one of the reviews that I read that said the sounds were “scratchy”. I did not experience this problem to any significant degree. You always get a little “scratchiness” with any stethoscope, when you move to different positions on the chest wall. One request of the manufacturer: it would be great if you could manufacture a small cap to cover the opening of the head of the stethoscope (where it connects to the headset tubes) so it doesn’t get clogged up in my coat pocket. For all of you hearing impaired medical practitioners, I hope this helps!

App is glitchy and lung sounds are not even as good as a regular stethoscope because it’s so over amplified. Sounds like everyone has crackles. I don’t think this is worth the money.

I have to say, I love this stethoscope! I previously had the III version stethoscope from Littmann and although I liked it, I struggled to hear sounds clearly on certain patients. After trying a similar model of my co-worker’s I was finally convinced to get this one. I love how clear the audio is; I can even hear heart sounds when listening to lower posterior lungs! I’m not a big fan of the Eko app as I don’t have much use for it but I like connecting to it to see my stethoscope’s battery life. I’ve heard some people say it’s tedious to charge the stethoscope but I simply turn the electronic mode off after auscultating patients and I only have to charge it every ~3 (12 hour) shifts. And even then it’s only about 2 hours to charge it fully. So not a big nuisance in my eyes. To me the only slight issue is that the stethoscope tubing is longer than the III model, meaning it doesn’t fit into my current stethoscope case and is a bit awkward to fold and put in my scrub pants’ side pocket. But still a great item!

I couldn’t register the product online. When contacted littman through mail with serial number and pics they didn’t bothered to reply. So I returned it.
