All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America
$0.99
The #1 New York Times bestselling author of Fire and Fury delivers a breathtaking insider account of the 2024 Trump campaign—undoubtedly the wildest, most unpredictable campaign in U.S. history, including multiple criminal trials, two assassination attempts, and a sudden switch of opponents.
All or Nothing takes listeners on a journey accompanying Donald Trump on his return to power as only Michael Wolff, the foremost chronicler of the Trump era, can do it. As Trump cruelly and swiftly dispatches his opponents, heaps fire and fury on the prosecutors and judges who are pursuing him, and mocks and belittles anyone in his way, including the president of the United States, this becomes not just another election but perhaps, both sides say, the last election. The stakes could not be clearer: Either the establishment destroys Donald Trump, or he destroys the establishment.
What soon emerges is a split-screen reality: On one side, a picture that could not be worse for Trump: an inescapable, perhaps mortal legal quagmire; on the other side, an entirely positive political outlook: overwhelming support within his party, ever-rising polling numbers, and lackluster opposition. Through personal access to Trump’s inner circle, Wolff details a behind-the-scenes, revealing landscape of Trumpworld and its unlikely cast of primary players as well as the candidate himself, the most successful figure in American politics since, arguably, Roosevelt, but who might easily seem to be raving mad.
Threading a needle between tragedy and farce, the fate of the nation, the liberal ideal, and democracy itself, All or Nothing paints a gobsmacking portrait of a man whose behavior is so unimaginable, so uncontrolled, so unmindful of cause and effect, that it defeats all the structures and logic of civic life. And yet here in one of the most remarkable comebacks in American political history, Trump is victorious. This is not just a story about politics: It is a vivid exposé of the demons, discord, and anarchy—the fire, fury, and future—of American life under Trump.

à familiar slant, well written but with little new news
By now, most of us are accustomed to hearing or reading the mayhem that the President creates around him to occupy us while he has every whim executed. This time around, whether through Project 25 or through familiarity, we all got fair warnings about but didn’t heed. We got what we voted for. Either because of fear or because of another reason, we’re all watching as our institutions are being shredded by Ketamine Head. Perhaps our democracy will withstand such shaking. Time will tell. All this to say that there’s very little new news in this book.

The Best of Wolff
I’ve read all of Michael Wolff’s Trump exposes and this one is definitely the best. The author lives rent free in Trump’s head and has sources galore to substantiate his perspective. The book is a terrific read although, sadly, the country is now in horrible shape because Trump prevailed and retook the presidency. I hope that Wolff is prescient about his expectations for his term of office.

The book is highly entertaining, heavy on gossip and innuendo.
Wolff has been writing about Trump since the start of his first term, and this book goes over what happened after Trump left office to his winning the election of 2024. It’s a breezy, gossipy read that goes over what people around Trump did, his meritorious moods, the decisions made and how people around him dealt with it, and generally tried to bring a narrative out the chaos the Donald Trump lives in.While the book is factual, it is also judgemental and people who are fans of Trump will not like it. The author judges people in how he describes their actions, heaping scorn on those who he feels deserve it. It is written in a style that feels like talking to an opinionated pal at the bar. It does a good job of capturing the atmosphere around Trump during his fall as rise again as a political figure. The book is highly entertaining, heavy on gossip and innuendo, but as a piece of journalism, it’s far too biased.

Not in any way as good as his previous books.
I’ve read and e joyed wolf’s,previous books. This one was,a challenge — disjointed, poorly organized and in many ways bitter towards other journalists. His sentences often ramble on and on in a stream of consciousness thought pattern that sometimes made me think Trump was writing it. It appears that he rushed this one to publication and forget the editing.Having said that, as usual, his research is impeccable. It is,worth struggling through the excess verbiage to discover what really happened.

Excellent
Another excellent book about Trump by Mr. Wolff.

Very engaging
Entertaining in a macabre sort of way. Nothing is funny, yet I found myself laughing at the absurdities. Unfortunate that it is all real, but it does give an insider’s view to some of the things that appeared inexplicable.
