It really works! Very sturdy simple design.
This is such a simple but strong product, but it means my 6′ 200 lb. brother can stand to get out of my low to the ground (Prius) car, even though his legs are not strong. It is easy to store in the glove compartment and it just fits in the door -I love it!

This item is wonderful. I purchased it after seeing a friend using one. I wished I had known about it earlier. My mom had a very hard time getting my Tahoe, and this would have helped. Tapered so it will fit Japanese cars. No extra maching needed.
Unlike a former competing item that “will NOT’ fit in a Nissan door hook this one does. It does because the part you put in the U-shaped bracket is “Tapered” . That makes all the difference. An original one of these is too thick to fit the u-shaped door latch on Japanese cars but this one does fit. It is a great help getting out of a car and by watching the video I can see how it can also be used to help getting into the car. Carry it with you in a pocket or carry it in a door pocket. Easy to use and fits well. Unlikely to break. Handle is easy to grasp. I chose RED color to make it more visible.

Works !!! Excellent Modality
Superb product! Exactly what my Mom needed. She uses it all the time. We learned about this modality while she was in physical therapy at the hospital. They used them there and this helps so much getting in and out of the car. She now has one for each side. Best invention ever in our opinion! It is strong and has not bent or broke at all. Been using it for close to 2 years now.

Weird but mildly functional
It’s an absolute hazard if you don’t explain to the older person how to position it properly. It works very well in a certain position when the handle is wedged against the frame of the door and only when the weight is pressed from directly downwards. So if you are working with elderly patients this wouldn’t be as practical if the patient had a hard time scooting to the edge to prepare for the proper weight distribution angle.
