Here’s a tester everyone should own. Works and takes a beating around the garage. Displays actual voltage and Glows Green if polarity is correct or red if reversed so always easy to determine Ground and Positive power wire.Much better than testers that just beep or light up.The voltage reading is very helpful and i use it all the time.The probe end is sharp enough to pierce wires to test and the alligator clip is a good size and clips on securely.Best tester by far I have ever used.

Good product, but has a delay
Works as expected, but feels rather cheap. LED panel could be brighter, its a little hard to see on sunny days. There is a bit of a delay when it catches a current, which gave me some trouble when troubleshooting turn signals, since the current was on and off rapidly, it never had a chance to turn on, which led me on a goosehunt.Overall, for the $10 I paid, I am happy with what I recieved.

Best idea ever!
For a few bucks more than my old standard tester (that I blew out the bulb) I bought this. It is well made with decent wiring; a sturdy clip and I can use it on my solar without the higher voltages blowing out the bulb. It is accurate (I compared its readings with my voltmeter) and works well.

Does what it’s supposed to do, could use a little bit more instruction.
I bought and used this to hardwire a dashcam into both mine and my wife’s car. Admittedly, I don’t have much of any experience with electrical and the devices required for messing with it. The device comes with some pretty basic instructions about the device, like where to clip the ground/where to prod the device/how to read the lights.There is no explanation about what state the vehicle should be in when testing, I made the mistake of starting the engine when looking for acc power using this device and I created a pretty big spark. I thought I had fried the device for sure, but it took it like a champ and kept working.I researched a little better what I needed to, and after that was able to install the dashcams properly with no further issues.All in all, this worked great to help install a couple dashcams. It does feel a little flimsy, so I doubt an actual mechanic would want to throw this in his toolbox, but for someone who is probably going to install some dashcams, throw it into a drawer, and never touch it again? This gets the job done.
