Average Joe –
Great price for a great set of markers. Very vibrant color and saturation.
I normally use pencil, sharpies, and acrylic paints for my work. However, when I wanted to make something special for my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson those media just wouldn’t let me produce the image I was looking for. My son is an Anime fan, so I wanted to caricature them based on one of his favorite Anime series. So, I sketched out “DragonBall V” for Valentine’s day. As I said I found my normal media would not allow me to produce the look of the series on screen as I would have liked. I tried some color markers I had but they were of the cheaper grocery store variety and the results were not what I hoped, and they were not very permanent either. I looked at Amazon and found this Caliart 40 Colors set (with dual tips) to be a great price and from the reviews they seemed to be what I was looking for. I have attached the picture I made for my son and his family and I have to say the results were great with them. Even in the photo the colors are vibrant. There is some light reflection that grays out some areas but that is not the makers it is the lighting of the photo but even so I think you can see it does have that Anime type look (at least to my son and his family they loved being made into these characters). Now with only 40 colors I was a little limited and had to use colored pencil on the logo and sky background, but these worked out well and did not detract from the picture. I made a color map using of all the colors which was easy using the number and letters on each marker. The broad tip and thin tips on each end made covering large and small areas easy too. These are my first Manga type markers but if you are new to this and want to try out some good product at a nice price, I recommend these.

Great value for the money.
These markers are great.I wanted some alcohol based markers but honestly didn’t want to spend a ton of money to try them. I kept searching around on different website and different brands and Caliart ended up being the best value and lowest per unit price with fairly good reviews as well! All of my markers worked right out of the bag and I experienced no dry markers. All produced the same amount of flow as the others.I will say that the cap color doesn’t always give an accurate representation of the actual ink color but I will say the colors are uniform, vibrant, and blend fairly well.As for a colorless blender this set (40 Colors Dual Tip) does not come with one. At least in 2019 when I purchased mine they did not. There are many available online however. This pack does have some colors that could be used as flesh tones as well. They come in a small zippered bag that for me at least has been very durable. These also feature a fine and a broad angle tip so that you can focus on both line work and fills. For anyone who has not used these types of markers before do know that they will bleed into the paper some so when filling in spaces do not go to close to the lines at first. The amount of bleed will also be determined by the quality of paper. These are great for a beginner and or intermediate or anyone who just wants to experiment at least in my opinion.

very nice markers comfortable in the hand
I’m an adult colorist and I have several different types of dual end markers including touch soft and touch 3. I found these to be comparable in quality to the expensive markers that I have. they have a broad chisel tip and a medium round tip. the end cap colors are fairy true to the ink colors but I did make a quick reference color chart. I do find the numbering system easier than my expensive markers. The ink goes down evenly and blending is easier I did however is a colorless blending pen as well as blending with the markers themselves. They arrived in a heavy vinyl case with a sturdy zipper, which had the feel of denim and is black in color. there is a small carry strap on the tip that is very well stitched and is by far the better of the original casing materials I’ve come across. I recommend these markers for anyone who wants a small set of dual tipped markers. they’d be great for tossing into a carry on if traveling. I enjoyed using these and if I can find single pens will consider building on this set. they are comfortable in the hand and I have small hands. I also like the fact that there is an audible click to the pen top so I always know when the pen is closed. as always with alcohol markers remember to place a protective sheet of paper between pages in a book and they are not suitable for books with two sided pages. but this is no different from any other set of markers that I have used. original art From Maedalas by Mae Klein

Great inexpensive alternative
The markers color smoothly and gets the job done. They do bleed through paper like most alcohol based markers so I can’t really complain too much about that since it rarely bothers me. You do have to be careful when coloring around edges as too much ink may bleed over. The cap of markers don’t really match the colors & the variety of colors left me stumped on some pages but that’s on me so if you’re looking to use a variety of colors definitely order a larger amount of markers.

Great for beginners like me
The cap color aren’t true color to ink or paint. But the letter on cap represents hue. “R” is for red, B is for “blue”. I really like these markers. Easy to use. Pretty colors, vibrant!

Impressed with these markers!
I was about to order Ohuhu alcohol markers but shipping would take too long and I needed them asap. These alcohol markers arrived in 2 days. The colors are bright, they color smoothly, and every marker worked. Wow (that’s exactly what I said when I first colored with them. lol), they are amazing and I highly recommend them. The image also has colored pencils and gel pens on it but you can see where I used the markers, the colors are beautiful.

Great markers
These are good quality markers for your buck. I haven’t tested them thoroughly because I bought the wrong ones for my sister’s gift. But I did a couple of tests and these are opaque and easy to use. No weird smells. Would definitely recommend.

Ok colorwise, question how long they are supposed to last!
Good starter set with bold colors. However some of the pens seem to be dry already! I did expect them to last longer than 8 pages etc.
