Must have baby book!
I have purchased several of these books as baby shower “bring a book” and as add on gift! I am a grandma and a nanny and every baby and toddler favor this book. Colorful, durable and keeps a baby’s attention. Great interactive book for caregiver to help baby learn to point, learn colors, and simple developmental talk. Also easy to throw into diaper bag to take along or for car rides. Great tablet alternative ! “Turn the page”.A must have for any nursery book collection.

A Little Book with Big Impact!
We snagged “First 100 Words” before our son was even born, picturing all the cozy reading sessions we’d have. And it’s been even better than we imagined! This little padded board book is a total gem.The real photos are so engaging for little ones. My son absolutely loves pointing at all the different objects and trying to say the words. It’s amazing to see his vocabulary grow with each page. It’s super durable, too! Trust me, it’s been through a lot of toddler handling and still looks great. The padded cover is perfect for little hands to grip, and it’s just a nice, tactile experience. It’s become a go-to for us, whether we’re at home or on the go. It’s small enough to toss in the diaper bag, and it always keeps him entertained. It’s not just a book, it’s a little tool that has helped our son learn so much. 5 stars for sure!

Best baby books!
Great board book! One of the best to teach babies words! Has most common words, cute pictures, grandson loves it! My kids had this as children too! A great book to read words & show pictures to babies & is about the right length for attention span of about a 4-month-old! Book was packed well & received quickly! Bright colors are loved by babies too!Companion books from same manufacturer of numbers & areas of interests make GREAT books for babies! Some of the best! Pages are slick thick fiberboard with magazine-like glossy finish. The other books from the same publisher are made the same way. Not made for chewing on, but will hold up to some of it and can be wiped off. This book is usually a favorite, so will likely wind up chewed up the first time baby has it and you turn away for a second, but it’s a favorite, along with the other common word books, and the words babies learn from it is invaluable! Before you know it, babies will see a word or several elsewhere, like on a sign when you have them out & about, and they’ll often start reading out of the blue! My kids did it & my grandkids have, and we have a little one now, thus a new copy of this book! Reading EVERY DAY is SO important for babies, especially keeping it upbeat! Even reading biology & chemistry college books sing-song, as if it were say Cat in the Hat is GREAT for them! They learn SO much from books, pictures & showing them things and telling them about what you’re doing! Babies are SO much smarter & far more interested in reading than most of us give them credit! They need to learn their alphabet & to read BEFORE Kindergarten if they are going to be up there with other developed, and some developing countries!Educate your children!(A great one to add to this is the Cat in the Hat Beginner Dictionary. It has some silly parts, isn’t really a “dictionary, but moreso a book that uses simple words in sentences, gives examples, yet helps VERY young readers get motivated to read… By very young, I mean babies about 4-5 months & up! As soon as they start looking & reaching, it’s time to give them words & pictures to look at, and things to talk about!)

Adorable baby book
For years I’ve loved this line of books. I recently bought this book for my 5 month old baby. He loves the pictures, especially the babies and animals. It has a sturdy, soft cover. It is a durable baby book with worthwhile information for young minds.

Great size for baby to hold!
“First 100 Words” by Roger Priddy is a padded board book that’s become a staple in our home for teaching my toddler basic vocabulary. Its design and content make it an excellent tool for early language development. The Good:Durable Construction: The padded cover and thick board pages ensure this book can withstand the rough handling that often comes with toddlers. It’s built to last through numerous readings and the occasional chew or drop.Educational Content: With 100 basic words spread across clear, colorful images, this book covers a wide range of vocabulary from animals to household items. It’s organized in themes, making it easy for children to learn related words together.Engaging Visuals: The illustrations are bright and simple, perfect for capturing and holding a young child’s attention. Each page is packed with pictures, providing plenty of opportunities for interaction and learning.Interactive Learning: My child loves pointing to the images as we name them, turning the book into an interactive learning session. It’s not just about reading; it’s about talking, pointing, and engaging with the content. The Not-So-Good:Limited Complexity: As with any book aimed at very young children, the vocabulary is basic, which is both its strength and limitation. Once a child has mastered these words, you’ll need to move on to more advanced books.Size Consideration: While the padding makes it durable, it also makes the book a bit bulky, which might be less convenient for travel or smaller spaces.Overall:”First 100 Words” is an exemplary board book for infants and toddlers starting their journey into language. Its durability, engaging visuals, and well-chosen words make it a must-have for any young child’s library.Pros:Robust, child-friendly constructionWide-ranging, theme-based vocabulary introductionVisually stimulating with clear, colorful imagesEncourages interactive learningCons:Vocabulary is basic, suitable mainly for beginnersSlightly bulky due to the padded coverConclusion:If you’re looking to introduce your child to the world of words, this book is an investment in their early education. It’s not only a tool for learning but also a durable, enjoyable book that can withstand the test of time and toddlerhood.

Excelente livro. É o favorito da minha filha de 1 ano e meio. O fato de as palavras estarem escritas em inglês não atrapalha. As imagens são bonitas e falamos em português com ela. Depois, quando ela crescer, poderá utilizar o livro como um iniciação às palavras em inglês.

My toddler likes to read the book and he is learning new words from it. He will ask me to read this book to him repeatedly as he likes to see the picture.
