May this magic find me
I knew this was going to be five stars about a quarter of the way into the book. This author crafts sentences so beautifully and had me smiling so much. I loved the whole nostalgic storyline that was inspired by āSleepless in Seattleā which is a perfect movie. I loved Lucie so much. She is a single mom and auto mechanic doing her best when her daughter calls into a radio station to find love for her mom. The romance hotline host, Aiden, is a grump who no longer believes in love. The story progresses to Lucie ending up on the show on a quest to find love and Aiden figuring out heās obsessed with her. I love found family as a trope and there was a huge amount of it. It was glorious. Jackson needs his own story as well as Patty and Aidenās terrifying boss Maggie. I enjoyed every second of this lovely and healing story. I finished it very quickly and loved the dual POV chapters. I was so engrossed and had a lovely time. Read this if you want to feel hope about love again.

Love on the Airwaves: A Must-Listen Romance!
I absolutely adored First-Time Caller! This book was such a charming and heartwarming listen, and I fell in love with the entire concept. The incorporation of the radio show, especially the transcripts before each chapter, made the story feel so immersive. It was like tuning in to a real broadcast, and in the audiobook format, this element was executed flawlessly.Lucie and Aidenās story felt incredibly real and believable. It was the perfect grumpy-sunshine romance, with Lucie bringing light and warmth while Aiden, in all his grumpiness, had his own reasons for holding back. I loved watching his walls slowly come down. There were definitely some emotional moments, but overall, this was a feel-good, beautifully written love story that left me smiling. Now, letās talk about the audiobookāabsolute perfection! EJ Bingham and Hathaway Lee completely elevated the experience. The way the transcripts were performed made it feel like a real radio show, adding an extra layer of depth to the storytelling. The narration brought so much emotion, humor, and authenticity, making this an absolute must-listen.If you love grumpy-sunshine romances, single mom tropes, and a unique storytelling format, First-Time Caller is a book you donāt want to miss. Highly recommend!

Absolute perfection
This book you guys š First-Time Caller was a such tender delight, brimming with lush romance, wit, and cozy nostalgia.āāāāāāāāAn ode to the classic and beloved Sleepless in Seattle, FTC follows Lucie and Aidan, two seemingly opposite individuals that both find themselves stuck in life for different reasons. When Lucieās daughter calls Baltimoreās romance hotline, hosted by the cynic Mr. Aidan himself, the pair subsequently find themselves thrust together on a new segment, Lucieās Road to Love. āāāāāāāāThis is truly one of those special stories; one that leaves you deeply immersed in a world of love, joy, and hope. I adored it so much. And as the daughter of a mother who solidified Nora Ephron and Nancy Meyers as the gold standard, I know the rest of this series is sure to be very special ā¤ļøāāāā

First time reader
This is the first book Iāve read by this author after seeing it all over social media. Definitely an enjoyable read.Lucie was awesome, I really liked her character, her daughter, Maya, and her relationship with Mayaās dad and his husband. Aiden was definitely a little more complicated, but had great character growth.Dual POV (first person), low spice, Sleepless in Seattle vibes. It was a little longer than it needed to be (in my opinion), it didnāt have me in a chokehold like some books do, but as I said, enjoyable read overall.

love to love love!
Very very cute! Grumpy meets sunshine. They both have a past and manage their hurts differently. She has a loving found family but is missing her partner. He is afraid to love because he could lose them. Obviously the fall in love in the cutest way.

Perfect rom-com book
4.75 āļøLiterally so fun, so heartwarming, and so cute! Iām absolutely obsessed with Aiden and Lucie. The hotline backdrop of this plot made it so unlike anything Iāve ever read. I had worried that it would make the book cheesy, but the relationship in this felt so authentic and I adored it.

How cute!!
Too darn sweet and swoony! A true romcom and definitely Sleepless in Seattle vibes. Loved the way they met and the thought of how many people we come into contact with that we donāt even realize until something brings us together. Really enjoyed.

REVIEWcw: mentions of cancer, child abandonment, anxietyB.K. Borison writes some of THE swooniest romances that I’ve ever read, and this was no exception. This was THE most exquisite slow burn! I genuinely didn’t know how she could follow the amazing Lovelight Farms series, but here I am, grinning and swooning all over again. I LOVED the little transcripts at the end of each chapter. It was such a cute touch. At times this was a tough read for me, especially early on, because I identified SO much with Lucie. I found myself sobbing so many times whenever she spoke about how she’d pretty much lost herself in many regards and had pushed the idea of love and romance to one side while she prioritised raising her daughter. She was incredibly relatable, especially in how she struggled with dating. It was like seeing inside my head when she talked about the exhaustion of holding everything together alone. But most of all, I loved her vulnerability. When she spoke about what she’d like from a date it also spoke deeply to me. I loved how awkward she was at times, but, she was also very funny and deeply empathic, and I loved her celebrity crush.Aiden was such a cinnamon roll underneath his seemingly jaded exterior. My heart broke for him when we learned the burden he was putting on himself always to be positive around his parents. When he finally revealed his reasons for being cynical about love to Lucie, my heart broke even more. The key ring made me sob. But I adored how much he secretly cared about everyone, especially Lucie, and how he always checked in that she was emotionally comfortable at the studio. Both Lucie and Aiden perfectly voiced the disconnect and lack of enthusiasm for dating, and the all-encompassing loneliness, even when surrounded by people you care about. But the chemistry between them was palpable, and it was SUCH an exquisite slow burn. I ADORED it when Aiden rushed to comfort her after the no-show. The simmering tension throughout was utterly sublime. Chapter eighteen was SO adorably awkward, then ridiculously cute. Aiden’s gradual realisation that he needed Lucie in his life was so deeply satisfying to watch unfold, but also incredibly sweet, especially as he awkwardly tried to navigate those new feelings. The way I swooned during chapter twenty-six. It was both incredibly moving and deeply adorable. As for the following chapter? It was ‘very nice’ and most definitely worth the wait! There were, of course, lots of great supporting characters. Maya, Lucie’s daughter was sweet and funny, and I loved how much she wanted good things for her mum. I also loved Maya’s father, Grayson, and his husband, Mateo. They were so wonderfully supportive of Lucie, even though the initial reveal made me giggle. Patty, Lucie’s neighbour, was such a fun character, with a great sense of humour. The way I CACKLED when Grayson, and then Patty, saw Lucie after she’d had some apricot jam. I loved the quirkiness but also the caring nature of Angelo, Harvey, and Dan, Lucie’s colleaguesI also adored Aiden’s friend and colleague, Jackson. His friendship with Aiden was wonderful, and they were hilarious together, but he also gave great advice. Meanwhile, his nervous, meandering weather talks were absolutely hilarious. I also loved what (I hope) was the setup for his book, and the car park scene cracked me up. The station manager, Maggie, was also an interesting character, and I hope we see more from her in the future. Oliver was also adorable and I hope we get his full story at some point because the setup was SO intriguing. I also think there was a tease for another story with Maggie. But the person I desperately want a book with is Jackson. In case you haven’t guessed by now, I absolutely adored him.The chapters towards the end absolutely broke me, but I was SO proud of Lucie, and then Aiden for confronting their fears. I adored Aiden’s father’s advice. You’ll want to stock up on hankies for this book because I was an emotional wreck so many times But the final couple of chapters were SO cute, and as for the epilogue? It was perfection! This was THE most exquisite slow burn and another masterpiece in swoon by B.K. Borison.Overall Rating: ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøHeat Rating: š„š„

This book made me giddy. Kick my feet, smiling like crazy, giggling. Gah! Seriously in love with this whole vibe the story brought! I completely devoured this one.I am obsessed with the banter between these Lucie and Aiden! And their chemistry?! š®āšØ The touches, the looks, just all of it and Aiden, Aiden, Aiden. Hot dang. Itās a bit of a slow burn, which I love because the tension just grows and grows until itās pulled so tight it snaps! It was amazing. They were amazing. I ate up every single interaction between them. Then there is literally every single other character! I fell in love with them all. I loved how the story flowed and built and it was just seriously beautiful. I donāt know what else to say, but how incredible this book was and I definitely think anyone who loves romance, loved Sleepless in Seattle, grumpy/ sunshine, forced proximity and more will love this one too.Oh and also, the narrators absolutely fantastic.

I absolutely adored this plot of a radio show finding Lucie love! The family dynamics were amazing and loved the nod to a queer normative/alternative family structure. The tension and yearning ugh was so goood and the romance so sweet. BK is my all time fav contemporary author!!
