This review is in regard to the Shenzhen Finicare Model FC-IR2000 touch-free IR thermometer for Goodbaby (and good adults too!). I am adding my review to the 20,000 others so that I can now claim to be a published author.My thermometer is white with three blue side buttons and a trigger.Now, the button count is important. Let me explain….I went to engineering college and one of the courses I took was human engineering where we learned about button color, shape, and count. The folks that designed this little beauty clearly took that course. They gave it just enough blue buttons. Perfection.I bought it because:I am tired of digital forehead IR thermometers that accidently switch between F°/C°.I am tired of digital forehead IR thermometers that turn off the backlight before you have a chance to read the temperature.And I am tired of digital forehead IR thermometers that get you all involved with previously recorded numbers when all you want to do is get one simple current temperature.I can sum up the Shenzhen Finicare Goodbaby operation in 3 words: Point and shoot.But wait, you say. What if I want to read in Celsius? There is a button for that.And what if I want to review my last 35 measurements? There is a button for that.And what if I want to measure my sleeping good baby without beeping? There is a button for that.And what if I want to calibrate this thing against my Cesium Beam atomic thermocouple calibration standard? There is a button combination to do that too.But if you just want to read your forehead temperature? Point and shoot.As with all non-contact forehead IR thermometers, accuracy can be a bit hit or miss depending upon where you point. That is the way it is with forehead measurements. Different body locations read different temperatures. The temporal scan will usually be about 0.5 to 1-degree Fahrenheit lower than an oral measurement, according to Gooddoctor. However… With this device, you could easily take 3 measurements and average them. The accuracy is certainly good enough for me and probably you too. There are other measurement methods that can rectify the slight inaccuracy situation, But, I am not looking back.So, in summary: It works, it is easy to read, and it shuts off automatically. Five stars. I like it. A lot.

Product received as seen online. Perfect size for personal family usage. It is reliable thus far; works quickly once batteries inserted properly; easy to read; illuminates well and is a great value for purchase price.

Does what it’s supposed to do
Easy to use. Had minor issue when putting the batteries in. Was a little confused about what direction to put the positive and negative batteries in. The plus symbol on the thermometer wasn’t clear if the positive end went in first or was placed so the positive end of the battery was supposed to be on the outside near the positive marking on the thermometer. But once I located the brochure that came with it a description there was clear how the batteries went in. I am sure it’s a good buy.

Accurate and easy to use.
Forehead temperature is very easy to take; result is displayed a second or two after pulling measurement trigger.A 3 second press of the memory recall button puts it in a mode to take the temperature of an object when the measurement trigger is pulled. In this mode you will see a house displayed on the screen as opposed to a forehead. I used this mode to see how effective my window insulation was.The reason for the two modes is that in forehead low temperatures,, below 87 Fahrenheit, are assumed to be an error. In object mode low temperatures are alloed.

Keeps pretty accurate temperature readings, great value, as a nurse it’s used multiple times daily for the last 6 months, haven’t had to change the batteries yet, good quality, lights up for good readability, and comfortable in the hand
