From USA Today best-selling author Rina Kent comes a new stand-alone dark romance about a villain and his new obsession.
I caught the attention of a monster.
I didnโt ask for it. Didnโt even see it coming.
But the moment I do, itโs too late.
Killian Carson is a predator wrapped in sophisticated charm.
Heโs cold-blooded, manipulative, and savage.
The worst part is that no one sees his devil side.
I do.
And that will cost me everything.
I run, but the thing about monsters?
They always chase.
This book is a dark unconventional romance and contains themes that aren’t to everyone’s liking. Please check the author’s note in the ebook for content warnings before listening.

Red Flags and all
Did I question my morals while reading this book? Absolutely. Did I find comfort in knowing that this is the kind of dynamic I only tolerate in books and not in reality? Also yes.Iโve been on the fence about picking up a Rina Kent book for a while. I wasnโt sure if her style would be for me or if Iโd even finish one of her books. With that being said, Iโm upset with myself for waiting so long. This book was deeply intriguing and made me question myself, especially as someone new to this genre.Letโs start with Glyn. Her character is simple and naive, but thereโs a quiet, dark undertone to her. At the beginning, sheโs at one of the lowest points in her life. As the story progresses, we get glimpses into how she views herself as a person, a daughter, a sister, and a friend, while also uncovering what led her to the bookโs opening events. Glyn starts off as the kind of person who avoids making waves, suffers in silence, and doesnโt want to be a bother. But as the book unfolds, she grows more outspoken and confident. Overall, I liked her character, but I loved the person Killian helped her become by the end. Now, about her โfriend.โ For much of the book, weโre led to believe that this friend, who “voluntarily” left the earth, had been in her life for a bit. But toward the end, we find out she only knew him for two months and assumed she knew him better than anyone else. Spoiler: she didnโt. I interpreted this two ways: either she was so desperate for connection that she clung to his words, or she was gullible and naive enough to believe he saw her for who she truly was. When the truth came out about what he said and did, I was baffled as to why she grieved him so deeply. Now, the main event: Killian. Heโs every red flag in a man personified, yet Rina made me fall for him. He was different. He was angry, possessive, tyrannical, and an unstoppable force of nature. But then, he became a man with feelingsโfeelings he didnโt know how to handle. I loved watching him struggle with his emotions for Glyn. He wanted to understand her so he could be done with her, but instead, she became his muse and his safe space.Glyn, in turn, understood him in a way no one else could. She saw through his anger at his brother, even when he denied caring, and she gave him the grace he didnโt know he needed. Killian remained true to himself from start to finishโraw, intense, and unapologetically himself. The only real change was Glyn. She calmed his inner beast, made him tolerable to those around him, and became his balance. He is her monster, and she is his calm. That balance between them was one of the highlights of the book for me. I appreciated how they complemented each other so naturally.I did have some minor issues, though. There were small gaps in the narrative, and the ending felt rushed. The story picked up toward the end, and then suddenly, it was over. I really hope thereโs a novella about Killian and Glyn in the futureโIโd love to see what Killian would be like as a father!

That was a wild ride and next level spicy!
Um wow!!!!! I definitely enjoyed reading this book. This was definitely a very unexpected version of dark romance. The spice was intense and scary and hot! I feel like the author did to the reader what Killian was doing to Glyn because I was definitely indulging in the forbidden and I thought wouldnโt enjoy dark spice that dance in the line of consent, however, I kept coming back for more just like Glyn.I really wanted to give it five stars but I didnโt because the ending of the book felt rushed with the reveal of what really happened to Devlin and the fall out from that. Everything after that was super rushed after we spent most of the book building up to that.

God of Malice by Rina Kent โ A Dark, Addictive Romance That Hits Hard
Iโll admit starting God of Malice was a bit of a challenge. The first chapter didnโt instantly pull me in, and I wasnโt sure if this was going to be my kind of read. But after that? Oh, I was hooked. Rina Kent has this uncanny ability to weave darkness and intrigue into her storytelling, and once I got past that initial hesitation, I couldnโt put it down.Glyndon and Killian what a pair. Their dynamic is intense, raw, and utterly magnetic. Glyn starts off as someone who seems breakable, but thereโs this quiet strength in her that makes her a fascinating character to follow. And Kill? Heโs the kind of anti-hero you hate to love but canโt help falling for anyway. Heโs cold, calculating, and unrelenting in his pursuit, yet thereโs something about him that makes you want to dig deeper. His mind games, his possessiveness, and that unpredictable edge make him one of Rina Kentโs most compelling characters yet.The chemistry between them is absolutely fire. The push and pull, the tension, the way they challenge each other itโs everything I look for in a dark romance. Kent doesnโt hold back when it comes to emotional depth and psychological complexity, and God of Malice is a testament to how well she can balance love and obsession in a way that keeps you completely invested. The writing? Sharp, immersive, and just the right amount of poetic. The plot unfolds in a way that keeps you on your toes, and the character development is solid. Itโs not just about the romance itโs about the transformation that happens when two people collide in the

Letteralmente.

I loved this book from page 1. Killian is a perfectly obsessive, psychopathic sweetheart. My heart actually melted.Glyn is a typical shy and retiring FMC with confidence issues but how Kill brings out her strength, her darkness. And I love the friend group dynamics. Can see where some of the next relationships might be and I’m totally here for it! God of Pain here i come!

I originally started reading this on Kindle Unlimited and immediately bought the physical copy.I never thought I’d enjoy a college romance novel, but here we are. The beginning of this book is a wild ride, so make sure you check the TW’s, it’s not for everyone. But I DEVOURED this book.
