Working as a nanny for the world’s grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can’t keep my eyes off him. And he can’t keep his hands off of me.

Cade Eaton is 13 years older than I am and barely looks my way. Until I get him into the hot tub one night for a game of truth or dare. Then all bets are off—and so are our clothes. He’s gruff, a little rough around the edges. But broad-shouldered ranchers with calloused hands and filthy mouths are this city girl’s kryptonite. So who am I to resist?

But it’s in our quiet moments together that he softens. It’s when he takes care of me that I realize his hardened exterior is just a façade. It’s when I watch him go all sweet with his little boy that I really fall for him.

Someone convinced him once that his best wasn’t good enough. But I’ve never felt more cherished than I do in his arms.

My contract may say this arrangement is only for two months.

But my heart says this is forever.

    PERFECTION!!!
There are several reasons why I adore Elsie Silver. Her books are Swoon Heaven! They make you fall in love with love and smile for hours. She never stops surprising me, never stops delivering more than I expect and I never stop craving for moreI say this every time and I swear I always mean it: This is my favorite book of Elsie LOL. I know. But seriously, her books keep getting better and better but I think this really might be my favorite, let me tell you why: For starters, I think this is her funniest book. The chemistry between Willa, Cade and the rest of the cast was just so natural with the most H I L A R I O U S banter ever. I think I spent at least 75% of the time laughing. Second, the family love in this book was stronger than ever. Not only we get to see the Eatons back in action, but we also witness a new sweet little family forming between Cade, Willa and little Luke. That alone made me swoon from start to finish. The grumpy/sunshine dynamic was on freaking point! It was literally sunshine melting the grump’s heart in every page and if you are a fan of this trope… you can’t missI need to start talking about Willa. Because she is now in my top 5 favorite heroines in Romance. The ovaries of this woman deserve a standing ovation. She was Sunshine in human form but not easily scared of the grumpiest grump ever. She was fun, daring, the funniest smartass mouth ever and not easily embarrassed. Her attitude was one of my favorite parts of the book. Willa and Luke? OMG my heart melted a little more every time they were together. She was the perfect counterbalance for Cade’s wounded soul.”Willa Grant is a s disturber, waltzing into my life and complicating it without even trying. Looking all pleased with herself over it.”I wanted to transport myself inside the book and hug Cade. He was just a huge teddy bear disguised as a bearded, grumpy cowboy. I could see his walls melting in every page. Although I loved both POVs, his was my favorite. I always love how Elsie writes the Grump’s perspective in every story but she exceeded all my expectations with Cade’s. I bit my lip many times and sighed dreamily reading how in awe he was of her. Hiding feelings and reactions when he saw her with Luke. I loved his caring heart and how he quickly became protective of her.”At his core, Cade is a caretaker. Selfless. With such a big heart I almost can’t wrap my head around it.”I swear, these two were the swooniest couple ever. They were sweet, funny and the tension was to die for! It was a ticking bomb ready to explode… and it did. Deliciously. Hot. Chef’s freaking kiss. We all know how Elsie writes the sweetest guys that are dirty talking alphas in the bedroom? Well, you’ll get one of those, plus a dirty talking heroine who’s not afraid of saying what she wants.*fans herself* All that sexy chemistry plus vulnerability, acceptance, the need for the other one to just be close and the simple wish to make each other happy in any way… My heart couldn’t take it anymore. It was perfection. And let’s just say that happy ending was everything I was hoping it would be, just the cherry on the top of a delicious cake!”How hard would it be to smile more, to laugh more, if it made her look this happy?”Need to also mention how happy it made me to see the rest of the Eatons meddling, joking and showing up for each other. I am so in love with this family, I want to know everything about them, I want all of their happy ever afters and I want to see them growing and growing! So, I’m just going to go curl up in bed and nurse the hangover I have after reading such a beautiful book.

Age Gap small town Single Dad
Cade is a grumpy single dad who is looking for a nanny for his son because he is stressed by his responsibilities. However, he also seems to be the catch of the small town. The coffee shop interaction is fun. Wow, what a memorable moment. Willa is perfect—a kid at heart, she manages a bar for her brother but is also a go-with-the-flow girl. Her bestie is the rancher’s new sister-in-law. However, this opportunity is too good to pass up. She is so sassy and courageous—I love it—the perfect compliment to the grump cowboy.Oh, the puns are fab. I’m chuckling while reading this book. I absolutely love the sarcastic humor. It is unfiltered and fantastic. The intense chemistry finally reaches a breaking point, and wow, this gets hot and steamy. This relationship has its ups and downs, and some old skeletons come into the mix. It also seems to have a nice bit of internal conflict with the characters. I love the charm of the country lifestyle, the hot cowboys, and the puns. Cade and Willa finally get their heads on right and, even with an unexpected surprise, find this happily together ending. If you have fallen in love with this story, there is more in this series with different interconnected characters. I enjoyed the read. I liked the grumpy cowboy and the fun-loving city girl. I also enjoyed the found family trope and the age gap. However, the backstories were more dramatic than I wanted to read. But the sassy attitude, sarcasm, and puns made up for it. This story had some memorable banter.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVEDDDD! All the freaking stars for this book!
I am utterly smitten with everything about this sexy, sweet and witty single-dad, small-town romance. Not only is the cover of this book simply breathtaking, the romance behind it completely stole my heart! I totally and undoubtedly devoured this book. There is nothing I love more than a grumpy hero and a happy/sunshine heroine. There is something about the opposites attract/personality clash, spirited banter and the inevitable fiery and passionate explosion between them that gets me every time. That is exactly what we saw in Heartless between Willa and Cade. From the fantastic storyline; to the loveable, relatable characters, Willa and Cade had me laughing and crying. I am so in love with these characters.Willa and Cade’s journey was just absolutely delightful and so utterly sexy. This couple has some of the best chemistry Elsie has ever written – and it’s just so delightful since they are so different. The spitfire yet sunshiney, goofy, light-hearted that is Willa contrasted so beautifully with the grumpy, jaded, and broody single dad Cade. Their chemistry is off the charts hot; the thrill mixed with true love and red hot passion. Lorddddd was Cade delicious. First and foremost, I loved how he adores his son. His focus was being the best dad. He was just perfection. Likewise, his connection with Willa was just a cauldron of alllll the fiery emotions. They had spirited banter, chemistry in spades and a connection that could not be denied! In addition, I absolutely loved how Willa was just bubbly and fun and wore her heart on her sleeve. She gave as good as she got and kept a smile on her face. She was resilient, had absolutely zero filter and was so damn likeable. I loved her! She made ME smile from ear to ear and her interactions with grumpy Cade were hysterical. I loved that she was a much needed breath of fresh air for our jaded hero and the light he needed back in his life.Heartless undoubtedly took the freaking cake for me and brought it home. The emotions were so intense and palpable, you’ll still feel the zing even long after you’re done reading it. The heart and heat were overflowing and leaping off the pages that it’s just impossible for you not to get hooked. Elsie Silver equals must read romance. Her stories are equal parts heart and steam, and I fallen head over heels for the fabulous Eaton family. This story was sexy, funny, emotional, raw and so addicting! Bravo..ALL THE STARS!
