The Howard Leight Impact Sport Electronic Shooting Earmuff features a super-slim earcup that makes it ideal for most shooting environments. The cutaway at the bottom of the earcup is specially designed to provide firearm stock clearance while aiming and shooting. Two high-gain microphones deliver 4X sound amplification of range commands or forest noises for excellent situational awareness. The mics are also omni-directional to let you know exactly where sounds are coming from. Shooting hearing protection is ensured as the electronic earmuff actively listens and automatically shuts off amplification when loud impulse sounds like gunfire reach 82 dB. It carries a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 22 in both on and off mode. The padded headband features telescopic height adjustment for a comfortable, customized fit. An external audio jack lets you connect the shooting earmuff to a music player, scanner or other audio source. The battery delivers approximately 350 hours of usage, and the automatic shut-off feature engages after four hours to help save battery life. All Howard Leight safety earmuffs and safety eyewear are compatible for use with each other.

Excellent noise cancelling Earmuffs for shooting
I bought this pair for my wife in Blue. Mine is black. The volume control works great as we can increase the volume and talk and yet when someone is shooting next to you, their sounds is muffled. These are adjustable to fit different head sizes and fold up onto themselves for storage so they take minimal room in your kit bag. Two AAA batteries are required (not supplied).

protects your hearing
I’m rather new to gun ownership. I went to the shooting range with my son and his wife to get experience in operating my gun purchase. I showed up equipped with simple foam ear plugs. My son and his wife had these headphone type hearing protection. I was unaware of such a thing, thinking that they were just run of the mill headphones. The ability to instantly mute gunfire noise, and also allow one to still effectively hear when no gunfire is occurring. They work spectacularly, and upon trying my son’s headphones, I decided to get some, I’m very glad I did.

Color a little off
Gave this 4 stars because the pictured color is not what was sent I feel like it’s a brighter blue vs the muted blue to me other than that these work great no issues with comfort, seal or sound quality.I would recommend!

Really great headphones
Bought for hubby when we go to the range. He can hear while he has them on and the loud sounds of gunfire do not interrupt conversation.

Perfect for a day at the range!
This is my 2nd pair of these and they work perfectly! The batteries seem to last a significantly long time as well. The ability to easily hear normal conversation all while it separates out loud noises to protect your hearing is awesome! For the price, these can’t be beat in my opinion.
