The Best books that I have ever read!
Chloe Walsh’s Binding 13 and Keeping 13 are far more than just love stories—they’re raw, emotional journeys about survival, healing, and the power of connection. Shannon Lynch, a broken yet resilient girl, and Johnny Kavanagh, a confident rugby star hiding his own struggles, feel so real it’s impossible not to root for them. Their love story is slow, messy, and beautifully imperfect, built on trust and mutual respect.Beyond the romance, Walsh masterfully tackles heavy themes like trauma, mental health, and bullying, balancing the darkness with humor, hope, and unforgettable side characters. These books are a rollercoaster of emotions, leaving you heartbroken one moment and uplifted the next. They’ll stay with me forever as a reminder of the strength it takes to heal and the transformative power of love.

Johnny and Shannon….
Oh my goodness, where do I even start? There were some heavy things in this book, but the story was beautifully written. Every once in a while there’s a book or series that kinda settles in your soul and for me this is one of those stories. I love the characters in these books, the good, the bad and the ugly of the story. I’ve cried, laughed and fumed along with a few other emotions editing my read. I will definitely be continuing this series.

Amazing duet!
It’s difficult to articulate just how much these books have impacted me. I’m talking completely and utterly consumed my thoughts for nearly a week straight(they are thick!).This series is a favorite of my bestie (and I understand why!) and although I thought I had a sense of what was in store, I was in no way prepared for the devastation, torment, and sheer perfection that is the Boys of Tommen series.Chloe Walsh weaves a powerfully compelling story of first love and heartache, found family and survival. The writing is absolutely brilliant. Powerful and emotive with a dose of humor that is nuanced and subtle and perfectly balances the very tough and very real themes in these books. The dialogue and the banter, especially between Johnny and Gibsie, is top notch. These characters are layered and relatable and face very real issues having realistic reactions and emotions. And with the author’s evocative writing, you can feel the triumph and joy just as deeply as the anxiety and heartache. The romance is an absolutely beautiful yet glacially slow burn, but the highlight of these books is not the spice. It’s about the emotional connection and the storyline. About these characters’ journeys and their relationships and connections with each other.I’m not sure I can think of another book or series that have hit me in quite the same way as these books have. They are truly incomparable. If you only read romance with high levels of spice and smut these books are probably not for you. But if you are willing to take an emotional journey that will tear apart your heart before stitching it back together, then dive on in and don’t forget the tissues!

Wrecked. Beautiful. Captivating.
Grab your tissues and be prepared for a journey that is both beautiful and heartbreaking. I haven’t been wrecked by a book like this in a long time. This story keeps you turning the page and invested in the outcome of the Lynch & Kavanaugh families. As soon as I finished book one I immediately went straight to this one and couldn’t put it down. If you didn’t love these two characters enough this book shows you how deeply imbedded these two are in your heart. It is an emotional rollercoaster and you should definitely read the trigger warnings because some parts were incredibly difficult to read. As you learn more about the way Shannon and her family have been destroyed by their parents you discover just hope much of a survivor she is. She is so strong and smart. Johnny really senses he’s missing something and his connection to her is a marvel to read about. He is all in and it really shows. I am in awe of these characters and while I can’t personally relate to the story it really felt like I was living it sometimes.Johnny Kavanaugh is a legend and his character really shined here. Thank you for bringing them to me. I’m a changed human because of this story.

blindingly beautiful
🧡 ♥️ Keeping 13 ♥️ 🧡 (Book 2 in the Boys of Tommen series) by Chloe Walsh𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:🧡 What can I say that I haven’t already said so far about this series? This duet in particluar, is just MARVELOUS. It will crush your soul, it will break your heart, it will make you laugh so much (thank you Gibsie and Mammy K for that) and it will give you so many feels and so much love that it just puts you back together again.♥️ Shannon’s story starts to come full tilt in this book and I’m telling you if you have any tr!ggers for child abvse, alcoh0lism etc, then I need you to take into account your tr!ggers and that your mental health matters to me. Because the stuff that happens to Shannon within this book is devastating. The things that happen to her family, to herself and within her relationship, truly is just so heart breaking. This entire duet has torn my heart to pieces. But watching Shannon bloom into this new person, to who SHE is and finally LIVING, it brought joy to my heart and tear to my eyes. But the journey to get there, is a devastating one.🧡 Johnny, poor freaking Johnny Kavanaugh. This man feels so much for Shannon, and the man has taken on so much with her and her family, but he do so so beautifully and without complaints. He feels so deeply, and he’s so protective of her that watching this man hurt, made me hurt. His dreams have become different, and all of his future plans include Shannon, and watching her support Johnny and his dreams was beautiful. Watching Johnny become a different person as well and learn to LIVE was just as amazing as shannon.♥️ I fee as though this book was all about LIVING, finding YOURSELF and who you ARE and who you want to be was such a defining moment in this book. Watching the world go around, and realizing you’re a part of it. It truly stood out for me.📖

This was just incredible. Chloe Walsh had me crying tears of joy, happiness and heart break. I can’t express how deeply emotive her writing is and how powerful it is to make me feel every single emotion. Please ensure you check the Trigger Warnings before you read 🩷Johnny Kavanagh needs to be wrapped up under my Christmas Tree this year or I’m having words with Santa. I’m not kidding this boy was something else. He went through so much and yet still showed excellent character development. I am utterly in love with every relationship this boy has, I love reading characters with personality and Chloe Walsh has clearly poured her heart and soul into every single one. I especially loved reading his interactions with the Team.Gibsie needs to also be under my tree this year. That boy had me HOWLING with laughter so hard that I definitely looked crazy while reading this in public. Every time he opened his mouth there was a 90% chance it would end in laughter. This is just testament to Walsh’s incredible writing. I am REALLY excited to see more of him and learn more about his story in the next books (the teasers on Chloe’s Instagram are killing me).Shannon, like the river. Will hold a special place in my heart. I could not imagine going through everything that she has and coming out the other side stronger than ever. I get emotional thinking about her and how far her character came in only 2 books. She is such a beautiful soul and matched with Johnny perfectly. I am so pleased that this book worked out the way it did for her and that she found her happiness.Joey was a heartbreaking character to watch and I’m glad that he ended up where he did. I hope he gets his own story with Aoife as they both deserve the world.Claire, Lizzie, Hughie, Feely, Katie, Sean, Ollie and of course Tadhg are also all amazing characters who added to the story excellently but If I start writing paragraphs about every character we’ll be here forever. I’m really hoping that they all get their own stories and happily ever afters as every single one of the deserve it.It’s fair to say I am immensely looking forward to the rest of this series and am loving the way that Chloe Walsh writes.

I already read it online but it was so worth buying it. It’s my 4th time reading it but it still gives me the feeling like it’s the first time reading it. The story between Jhonny and Shannon. Gibsie, Joey, Tadgh. Everything in this book is a 10/10.
