Not as unhinged, with a lot more plot
I loved the first one due to how unhinged it was. This one wasn’t as unhinged but had so much more plot. I loved being able to get into the mind of Malachi. I felt the backstory of what he came from really told you why he was the way he was. I loved ALL the characters except his adopted mom, of course. I loved that Olivia was able to find her voice and stand her ground. Seriously, there is just so much that i loved about this book! That ending was amazing, and everything i could have hoped for. Im so excited to read The Edge Of Darkness Trilogy now!

I wish…
This book got a lot of attention and many recommendations. Im glad others found it amazing but it wasn’t that for me. I love the crazy obessed mute and i love the character of Olivia. There was just a lot that wasn’t there for me. Part One was a waste I basically skimmed through it. Now if all part One was weaved in with the first book it would have been perfect. Give the story from both points of view at the same time. I do like this book more than the first. I felt there was more action. There were different things ideas brought up but never touched back on them. What happened with Abiligal and the brothers? I wish there was more relationship building not just spice. I also wish we got to learn and grow with Olivia and Malichi through the epilogues. That story seems interesting and full of love and growth.

Awsome
I just one say one thing: I love Malachi Vize!!! He was so missundertood and in this book I get to know more about his story and backgrounds, I didn’t like Olivia at first but the girl also have a lot of issues and all of the abuse she suffered from her mother but she was a nice girl and I just loved their love story and everything they endured in order to be together.

Could’ve been better
Semi spoilers. I really give this 2.5 starsSo the first one was great! And the first 3 chapters or so went into more background on Malachai’s childhood before foster which was good. However , the rest of the first part of the book was just the same story pretty verbatim from Little Stanger, just only from his PIV instead of dual. I really hate reading the same Damm story in a muted version. You could skip Little Stranger and read Little Liar and be OK still. Really don’t like the structure of this second book. Could’ve been better without most of the first half and and into more details of present day. It had spice and I love Mal and Olivia, but just felt rushed and poorly executed.

Taboo and I’m here for it!
This book took me on a ride! While I appreciated getting Malachi’s pov, I wish we could have seen more of that in book one, rather than going back over it in book two. It made the beginning of this book slow moving. That being said, Part two, yes please! It was thrilling, suspenseful, painful and wonderful all at the same time! I was captivated, and the ending, so worth it! I loved how this book finished, it made me so happy! The things Malachi and Olivia endured were insane, horrible in many instances, so seeing their growth and how it all came together in the end was perfect!

Loved

I just finished my second read and am so happy I decided to reread The Web of Silence Duet. There is so much more depth in the characters I had gotten the second time around I didn’t the first. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Olivia the first time around, but now I love her. She, too, has her own trauma and was groomed by her mother. She wasn’t malicious like I first thought.Malachi is beautifully written with his mental illness, trauma, and complexities.Reading the duet back to back is definitely recommended so you get the full background of each recollection of their youth; it paints the picture that they are both insanely obsessed with each other.TROUPESspider playPrimal playStepsibling kinkObsessionMental illnessTraumaCNCSomnophilia

Even more dark and twisty

***CONTAINS SPOILERS***Malachi, oh Malachi…This book is MUCH darker than the first book. I love the fact that part 1 of the book is mostly out of Malachi’s POV from when he was a child (before adoption) and some of the overlapping chapters in book 1, where we only saw Olivia’s POV and I loved learning of Malachi’s story, his bio dad, mom and his pet spider.
(Yup, I’m still afraid of them). This book is dark, posessive, forbidden romance, foster sibblings, kidnapping, and so much more (yes, there is another spider play scene in here, too)
I wanted to smack their mother a few times
(okay every single time), but I loved that their dad ended up being the superdad they deserved.Definitely read the TW before you start.

Great book, definitely have to read little stranger first. I am so happy with the ending, they both got what they deserved… happiness.

i thought the first book was perfection but this ties up all loose ends nicely (and satisfyingly).

Okay I’m officially completly obsessed with this duology! It’s now ranked on the top of my all time favorites list and Malachi takes a place at the top of my book boyfriends list.Little Liar is more Malachi’s pov and I loved him even more after being in his unhinged head. The character developement is brilliant and I don’t want to give away too much, but I definitely changed my opinion about the Dad, and the “family” interactions made my heart melt. The interactions with the new characters were hilarious and had me chukling multiple times.Once again it had everything my little black heart could want out of a dark romance!Obviously I highly recommend this book as well and I’m definitely going to read Leigh’s other books now too!
