Wow! This Headset is Amazing! Experience Well Worth the Investment!
UPDATE: OK, so I’ve had this for months now, and I still love it! I use it every day! It’s so nice to just escape sometimes; once you put it on, you’re no longer in your living room, or your basement… the graphics are that good on some of these apps! My go-to apps are Supernatural: Unreal Fitness (turn the coaches off via the Focus button, as they get annoying after a while), and Beat Saber… I use them every day. Beat Saber has some incredible surrounding graphics and animations, and I love slicing through all the cubes moving toward me to amazing music. Unreal Fitness drops you in really cool places around the world (and some made up, I’ve noticed), and it doesn’t even feel like exercise; it’s so satisfying to break 100% of the glass balls! You just don’t know until you try it, and it’s so believable since the graphics is incredibly crisp and clear! OK… original post below:This is my first experience with VR/AR/MR, as I chose to wait until the graphics were more impressive (actually, I’ve been waiting quite a long time… since VR conversations became fairly commonplace with the release of the Sega Genesis! Yeah… I’m that old.). I’m so glad I started with this unit (Meta Quest 3) because I was truly blown away right from the start! The setup process was easy enough, though it had its quirks (I used an e-mail setup since I don’t use Facebook). In setting up the MQ3 via my phone, I noticed I had to close the app twice to get it to resume where it left off (when you close/reopen, it recognizes you were not done and resumes without issue, so try that if you get stuck). I’ve only had it for a few days and am blown away by the Batman app (I don’t like fighting games, but this is mostly exploring with relatively little fighting), Red Matter (incredible experience; finished it yesterday!), Red Matter 2 (started today and am already hooked!), and I really love the Supernatural: Unreal Fitness program! The first two apps were free (Batman is included in the package I bought here, and Red Matter (the 1st one) came with the free Quest+ trial subscription, and I paid for the latter two. The Unreal Fitness program is $10/month, and totally worth it! You can’t know/understand until you try it, and they do give you a free week trial, btw. I am a runner (all my life) and enjoy staying in shape, and this fitness program is amazing, as they drop you in different (beautiful!) places around the world, and the music is great and the movement patterns are really fun (honestly, I didn’t think I’d like it at first, as it sounded boring… but I’m so glad I kept an open/curious mind and tried it out!). The graphics on the games is so detailed, right down to chipped paint and curling wallpaper on walls, etc… and I love the intuitive movements… I’m the guy who will squat down in these games to check under chairs and desks for clues, and it’s just so amazingly realistic! I did begin to feel somewhat panicked the first time I crawled out of the window in Batman and looked down into the alley from several stories up (and when I entered that huge generator room in Red Matter), but that just added to the experience and believability, so I’m more impressed by it than bothered! In fact, I was so impressed with the overall experience that I bought a set for my wife (she likes it, too) and another for my parents so that they can try it out! Highly recommended! I also bought the Elite Strap Battery for more comfort and to add more play time and I’m glad I did, so consider getting one of those, too (or a similar device). Oh, and you’ll need a rubber/silicone cover for the mask part (that touches your face) to protect that cloth from sweat (not sure why they put cloth there… odd). Anyway, enjoy! I certainly am!

Huge Upgrade Over Quest 2 – Absolutely Worth It!
I’ve had the Meta Quest 3 since December, and I’ve already spent well over 300 hours using it—this thing is incredible! Compared to the Meta Quest 2, it’s a massive improvement in every way.The visual clarity is significantly better, with a much sharper and more immersive display. The performance is smoother, making games and apps feel more responsive, and the improved mixed reality features add a whole new layer of immersion. The comfort and design upgrades also make long sessions much more enjoyable.Whether you’re gaming, working out, or just exploring VR experiences, the Quest 3 is absolutely worth it. If you’re upgrading from the Quest 2, you’ll immediately notice the difference. This is hands down the best standalone VR headset on the market right now!

I own a Quest 2 and bought this as a gift for my father. I will DEFINITELY be getting myself one!
As an owner of the Quest 2, I wasn’t too sure how much of an upgrade this would be, but let me tell you, this thing is a significant upgrade that I think is well worth the cost. The way the weight is distributed, this thing feels lighter on my face than the Quest 2 ever did, and while I’m probably still going to buy the BOBOVR strap replacement for the Quest 3 (like I did for my Quest 2), it’s not because I think the Quest 3 is uncomfortable to wear. On the contrary, this thing is definitely more comfortable out of the box than the Quest 2 was, so anyone on the fence about comfort can lay those worries to rest immediately.I’ll be honest: When this thing first arrived and I tried it on, I wasn’t wowed like I expected to be by some monumental leap in clarity, crispness, and screen resolution. No, it wasn’t until that same night when I used my own Quest 2 again that I was blown away by the difference. Is it a staggering difference? No, it’s not. Is it VERY obvious when comparing the new and the old side-by-side? You better believe it.The Quest 3 is more comfortable to wear, improves upon the Quest 2’s already impressive motion responsiveness (which is huge for folks who suffer from motion sickness if the scene they’re viewing doesn’t move *precisely* in lockstep with their head movements), has UNBELIEVABLE hand tracking capabilities (this thing makes the Quest 2 look like a knockoff product in that regard), offers a noticeable bump in clarity and responsiveness, and takes the rudimentary pass-through visibility system from the Quest 2 and instead gives you a true “I can see everything around me, in color, without visible skewing or synchronization issues” experience when you’re wearing the headset and need to be able to see the world around you.Heck, even the built-in speakers (which were already excellent in the Quest 2) got a really nice bump in terms of volume AND fidelity. I don’t know if this thing is *actually* louder than the Quest 2 (at max volume), or if it just *sounds* louder because the speakers are positioned more intelligently when you’re wearing the headset, but either way it’s yet another significant upgrade.Bottom-Line: The Quest 3 is truly an upgrade over the Quest 2 in every way. This is an absolute home run product for Meta that I think literally everyone who enjoys gaming at any level will enjoy. If you own a Quest 2 and are still in love with the thing, I wouldn’t call this a “must buy,” but I *can* guarantee that you’ll be significantly impressed by the upgrade should you choose to pull the trigger. As for anyone who’s never owned a VR headset and is on the fence about taking the plunge? I’ll just say this: Back when the Quest 2 was first released in 2020 I told anyone who would listen that right then was *the* time to get into VR. The Quest 3 just made 2020 me look foolish, because this thing is a slam dunk experience, and NOW is objectively the time to hop on the VR train. You will NOT be disappointed!

If you’re on the fence about getting the Meta Quest 3, let me make it simple—just go for it! As someone who has tried different VR headsets, this one truly stands out in all the right ways.1. Comfort & DesignRight out of the box, the Quest 3 feels more compact and lighter than previous models. It sits comfortably on my head, and the weight is balanced, so I can play for longer without that awkward forehead pressure. The adjustable straps make it easy to get a snug fit, even if you wear glasses.2. Visuals & PerformanceThe display is stunning. Everything looks sharper, clearer, and more realistic compared to older versions. Whether I’m exploring breathtaking landscapes or dodging enemies in action-packed games, the details pop, and the colors are rich. Plus, the refresh rate makes movement feel super smooth—no more motion sickness!3. Immersive SoundThe built-in speakers are surprisingly good! The 3D audio really makes a difference—you can hear footsteps creeping up behind you or the roar of an engine as if you’re actually there. If you prefer, you can use your own headphones, but honestly, the built-in audio is impressive on its own.4. Game Library & PerformanceThis is where the Quest 3 shines. It runs everything smoothly, from intense action games to relaxing VR experiences. The game library keeps growing, and now with mixed reality features, you can even blend your surroundings with the virtual world. It’s a game-changer! Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or just looking for fun ways to stay active, there’s something for everyone.5. Battery LifeLike most VR headsets, the battery isn’t endless, but it lasts a good 2-3 hours, depending on what you’re doing. If you’re planning a long gaming session, a battery pack might be worth considering.✨Final ThoughtsMeta Quest 3 is hands-down the best VR headset for the price. It’s easy to set up, incredibly immersive, and packed with features that make every experience feel next-level. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to jump into VR, this is it. You won’t regret it!👍

I find this so much better than the strap the quest comes with. They’re really sturdy, allow for perfect tightness and I feel like they’re much more comfortable than the standard strap.
