A decent monitor, Buuut I’m probably switching back
If you’re looking for a baby monitor that promises a ton of features and delivers on just enough to keep you from immediately returning it, the Nanit Pro will probably be a solid choice. I bought it after reading good reviews, and to be fair, it does some things well. The video quality is sharp, the sleep insights are helpful (when they work), and the app is polished. But after using the Nanit Pro for a while, I started missing our Miku Pro which was bought around the same time. The Nanit requires special Breathing Wear to track breathing, while the Miku does it contact-free with no extra gear. If the Breathing Wear isn’t worn correctly, the feature doesn’t work at all. The Nanit’s “Day Dashboard” only works with their wall mount, and switching to a different stand removes access unless you buy their Multi Stand. While both of these monitors require a subscription for extras, the Miku feels less restrictive and doesn’t constantly push upgrades. I’ve also had issues with the Nanit dropping connection and experiencing delays in the app(seems to be getting better after last update!). The online viewing portal is unreliable, often stuck on a loading screen or refusing to work altogether.Overall, the Nanit Pro isn’t a terrible monitor—it does what it says, as long as you’re willing to play by their rules (and keep buying their accessories). But for me, the hassle of wearable-dependent breathing tracking, mounting restrictions, and occasional connectivity issues aren’t worth it. I’ll prob be going back to Miku Pro, which just works better for my needs.

Best Baby Monitor – Worth it
We love the nanit, and just bought our second for baby #2. A few reasons we love it:1) Not Tied to One Screen – Because it connects through Wi-Fi, both parents can check on the baby through their phone so you aren’t tied to a traditional one monitor screen.2) Good Distance – No more “beep beep” when you get slightly out of range. Because it’s Wi-Fi, you can have a better distance (this has allowed us to be in the backyard when our baby got older) plus I can do a quick check in while I’m on a trip and just want to see my little one!3) Push Notifications/Background Audio – Once our baby was a bit older, it was great to just keep the background audio and push notifications on so that I didn’t need to stare at a screen, my phone would let me know when there was sound or movement without needing to keep the app open.4) Video Recording – Depending on the subscription you get, you can have video history which we’ve found helpful to look back to see what woke her up/how long it took her to settle, etc. It’s a great monitor and worth the extra spend if you can swing it!

Highly recommend Nanit Pro!!!!
After using the Nanit Pro, I can honestly say it’s been a game-changer for us. The setup was surprisingly easy, and the wall mount feels super secure — plus the cable management keeps everything neat and safe. The video is incredibly clear, even at night, and the two-way audio is a lifesaver when I need to calm the baby without going in. One of my favorite features is the Breathing Wear integration, which tracks breathing without any extra gadgets on the baby.If you’re looking for a monitor that gives you more than just a video feed, the Nanit Pro is definitely worth it. It’s given me so much peace of mind — and better sleep, too!

Not worth the money, even if you think “my baby is worth the expense!”
I was intrigued by the great video quality, sleep data and the ability to add multiple users. Other parents warned in the reviews of the camera being useless without a subscription plan (it is) but I reviewed the subscription plans and thought “well, my baby is worth shelling out those extra dollars for rhe subscription.”I reviewed the plans and felt like the middle tier was affordable, bought the Nanit pro and moved on to researching 600 other baby items I needed to buy before baby gets here. Fast forward to baby being born, I realized all the reasons I hate the Nanit pro. The main reason is that I feel tricked by the subscription tiers. I purchased the middle one for 119.99 a year thinking it was providing sleep analysis, and it’s not, you actually have to buy the ultimate $300 a year plan to get any of that data. The worst part is the language in the upgrade subscription screen makes you think you’re going to get access to advanced sleep analysis but you are not. The middle subscription tier seems absolutely useless other than adding more than 2 caregiver users. There is so much about the camera that is only available by subscription and it genuinely feels like I have been tricked at every turn.Don’t get tricked, there’s got to be another camera out there that is less expensive and gets the job done.I hate how the baby has to wear “breathing wear” to get the analysis. Babies are very particular about what they wear to sleep and getting some breathing wear on them before you put them down is just idiotic, and the breathing data is just dumb. Only useful in babies first few months when they’re the most fragile and you’re the most worried and those are the months that seem the most impossible to get “breathing wear” in them before they are put down to sleep. If you take baby out of crib you will be trying to get them back to sleep and then a loud tone sounds because Nanit can’t detect breathing motion and it’s like oh great baby was almost back asleep and now they’re awake again because of the tone!!!! The dang camera should be smart enough to know the baby was taken out of the crib and not dead and we do not need the loud tone to sound ten mins later !!!!Why aren’t three users standard? Why isn’t the camera more useful without a subscription? Why do they trick you with subscription plans? Why isn’t there a standalone monitor (why do I need my phone ? Drains your battery by the way )You might be enticed by storing all the picture and video memories ! But they’re not that exciting !!! Black and white grainy videos of your baby just sleeping ??? Boring and uselessCamera is absolutely not worth the money. I got a cheap $35 video monitor that seemed really basic at first but it’s genuinely all you need. Do not waste your money on Nanit, it seems like they don’t care about you or your baby and just want to trick you into spending more money. Sad.

Bought after trying a few other cameras. The Nanit gives me peace of mind when baby is in her bassinet. Having her wear the band to monitor her breathing is amazing for the anxious FTM.

I didn’t realize how many basic features are paywalled behind the insights subscription. E.g. telling you how long your kid slept. Without the subscription it becomes a very basic yet expensive baby monitor.

This baby monitor is worth every penny. The insights are incredible, the video quality is great, and I love the notifications we receive that are very timely and accurate regarding our baby’s development. So happy we chose nanit!

My Nanit works perfectly with this stand, accurate information gathered.

Does not notify you on sound detection even though everything needed is enabled on the app. Contacted the nanit support team but they have not been able to fix the issue. Waste of money.
