Useful resource for people living with aging family members
This book hits home! I live alone with my aging father. I am constantly in fear of something happening to him and at a loss of what I would do if something did happen. The book was well-written and explained things in simple terms. I found no difficulty understanding the concepts and ways I could apply them.Living in a third-world country, aging parents are often neglected. There are no systems in place for caring for aging parents. That is why I view this book as a blessing. It answers so many questions and doubts I might have. Not everything in it is practical for my specific situation, but those that are hit the nail on the head. An example is that there are no extensive assisted living facilities in my country. However, it touches on areas of financial planning which worried me the most.Good book. I would highly recommend it to anyone who worries about how they will take care of their aging family members.

I found this a really helpful book that deals with the sensitive topic with plenty of compassion. I am in the process of trying to move my mother into assisted living and have been finding it extremely hard to deal with. The advice on evaluating facilities and reading contracts has been invaluable as I had no one to turn to for advice. It’s an overwhelming process but I can’t tell you how amazing this book has been, both emotionally and practically.
