She literally got my attention in Chapter 1. Then it slows down so we can get to know the characters. Details Details. I love it. Dark Stalker Romance for sure but hot damn 😥 Hayden is such a smooth talker any female would swoon over him and he’s kinda hot/scary romantic.Whew! He’s clearly the one to fall in love first she consumes his whole life. He’s possessive and bossy! 🤤. Definitely some hints of cat and mouse in the book. You definitely see a lot of character development from Hayden it’s like Calista is his antidote. But now he’s put two and two together that she may actually be in danger not by him but someone that was connected to his mothers own death (OD). Calista (Callie) is finally putting two and two together and is taken it heart of what he has done. Realizing he was her stalker and took her pearl necklace. This book is well written and I loved it honestly. I read it in two hours. I couldn’t believe I zoomed threw it. I just hope the last book is a lot of smut because this gonna be a long ride for then🤣. Callie is a victim of a date rape drug and possibly raped she definitely was beaten. She hasn’t really told her story yet which I’m sure will come out in book 2. This book does have me going threw emotions because when Hayden’s darkest secrets come to light besides being her stalker. What will she do probably run. I don’t want to go into detail because I feel like I spoiled enough. Is Callie safe my question is there gonna be a HUGE TWIST in book 2? Like I want to know who did it? Why? How will Callie react when his Dark Secret comes out or will he take it to his grave? The Ex have something to do with it? Will the best friend betray her? Sooo many questions! This book literally leaves me wanting me to have MORE and Morgan is giving me bread crumbs! Book two doesn’t even come out until 10/29. I think I just found me another book boyfriend! Definitely read trigger warnings and hopefully book two is a little more darker and explore more smut.This doesn’t pertain to the book but Morgan does reply to her readers in her plate forms of media. For that I’m greatly grateful that she took the time out to reply too. I did have a fan girl moment ♥️

I didn’t want to like this book and I’m ashamed I do.I’m ashamed that I flew through it in 3 days of reading, when that’s never happened to me with any other book.Their relationship is obviously unhealthy. Stalkers are rarely ever hot, rich men and if a man did ANY of the shit he did irl, it would not bode well.Beating the shit out of someone in a bar and police not being called, literally killing a man and setting the place on fire and absolutely no investigation taking place? Definitely unrealistic, but it is fiction after all and I guess that’s the point of dark romance.Their entire relationship is unhealthy, obviously. But at least the fmc Calista isn’t a complete idiot like in many other dark romance novels. Although, if you know you have a stalker and there just so happens to be the same guy constantly coming out of nowhere randomly wherever you are, I would think the math would be mathing. But I digress.It has a quick pace with very little fluff, which I appreciate. Kept me engaged, hence why I zipped through it so quickly and ends on a cliffhanger. So I guess I’ll be binging the sequel now. 😪 Hopefully I won’t be up til 5am for a second night in a row. 🥴Their relationship (if you want to call it that) goes 0 to 100 REAL quick. Touch her and you die is definitely an understatement. The intense drama of their sexual tension almost made me laugh, but not necessarily in a bad way.I did like that even though he’s unhealthily enraged with any man that comes within 5ft of her, he’s still gentle and caring with her and makes it clear from the jump that he wouldn’t hurt her. Well, physically at least being that stalking mentally and emotionally causes harm. But anyways..The fact that he does become so enraged once he finds out her trauma was a big green flag for me (as ironic as that may be) and in that case I am totally okay with him unleashing his fury onto whomever caused it and will read through that scene with glee in the future if it’s described in the second novel. 😈Absolutely LOVED her BFF Harper! She’s funny and probably the most normal thing about this whole book. 😂My two qualms: The phrase “worried my bottom/lower lip” is used pretty consistently and ground my gears. But that’s just my personal issue.Given the cover, I was expecting more of a paranormal stalker romance, so I expected him to be like a ghost or incubus or something. But it’s contemporary, so I was kind of disappointed in that.I’m definitely interested in a paranormal stalker romance, so if you’ve read this far and know of some, please comment below. 😁😁

Hmmmm. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it. I had a good time reading it tho. Kicked my feet while giggling quite a bit. I adored the best friend.The story was very slow and went absolutely nowhere. They honestly they could have cut the book in half and just been a little novella and I’d have enjoyed it more. The romance was very very slow burn and then heats up right at the end. The ending of the book is a huge cliffhanger and nothing is solved. Do I regret reading it? No. Will I ever read it again. Also no. And ima pass on book 2. But I didn’t hate reading it. Gonna be generous and give it 3 stars.

So so good. I can’t wait to read the 2nd book. Bennett is fire-hot, as is their chemistry. Tons of tension, laughter, mystery and thrills!!! Read this book.

I’m intrigued
This book has a very slow beginning and I wasn’t sure I was going to stick with it. There’s nothing unusual about this story. Well off, sexy, brooding man falls savagely in love with a woman who is breathtakingly beautiful and down on her luck with a side helping of trauma. It is fun brain candy and not a mental 5k. That’s okay. A little escapism is fun and needy these days. It is a delicious and fun read. There are some hot and heavy sections and so far the only obstacles are the main characters trying to establish their rhythm. Just like life.The characters grow on you and you will get sucked in. Especially since this book ends on a cliffhanger. My recommendation is to take the plunge. Fall in love with another literary psychopath and indulge in some sexy mind fodder. I will definitely be getting the next book. Because I need to know how these two make out.
