I have other solder equipment, but this is a great addition.
I think soldering electronics components is become almost a lost art. I’ve been doing it for longer than I care to admit. I actually have a handy kit that I’ve put together and used for the last 20 years. However handling some of the smaller smd circuits you have to be very careful about temperature control around adjacent components. I selected this kit for its temperature control as well as some fresh, smaller tips. Lately a lot of my work has required using a magnifying headset. I’m even getting ready to invest in a digital soldering stand with a magnifying display. I am pleased with how it feels and adjusts. Feels like it will hold up to years of use. I do have an infrared thermometer that I’ve used to double check results. The temperature control may be a little bit off, but if you are patient and start at a slightly lower setting you’ll know when you are at the desolder point. If you use different temperature solders for reattaching devices you’ll be able to calibrate your own settings. This is a good price for a very useful product

Good starter kit, solder pump sucks
This is a great starter kit for soldering/desoldering. I was working on my first mechanical keyboard. I bought the blue set because it got hotter. Temps were great as it did get hot enough. The kit comes with a handy stand. The sponge sucked, wish it came with brass wool. Tweezers were fine, solder was fine and the tips provided were fine. My biggest issue was how terrible the solder pump was. It was a cheap piece of plastic that did not work for me. I ended up purchasing a different one on amazon that made this one seem like a toy.TLDR: great starter kit, just buy a better solder pump cause it sucks.

Needed a fine point soldering iron to change the battery on my key FOB.Got the job done. You need to know how to operate one to use this specific one.Pros1. Comes with a manual suction pump. It’s needed if you are desoldering components.2. Comes with Different Tips, wire and paste and a Handy storage container.Cons1. No stand2. Very tiny sponge. I used one from kitchen sink.3. Temp reading and setting required a magnifier to read.4. Instructions are useless. 🙂

Great kit for a low price
My personal soldering kit I have had for a very long time had in all words bit the dust and I needed a new one on the fly for a project I had to complete. Just was looking for a cheaper one until I could get mine fixed.The kit works amazing and would highly recommend for beginners. Ease clean up, and the manual gives enough tips and tricks for beginners. The temperature control system works great. And the accessories work smoothly. Over all money well spent.

The only worth part is just the soldering iron
This product is so bad… I liked the fact that its affordable and comes with a few tools to start your journey, and comes with a nice case, but… The tips are the worst soldering tips I’ve ever encountered. Cheaper soldering irons have way better and longer lasting tips than this model. I thought it was just my unit, or that I put a high temperature or the quality of the soldering wire but I ordered a replacement, and got higher quality soldering wire and paste and the results were the same, the tips don’t last more than 5 minutes and the following day they were rusty. SOOOO BAD!!!! This had never ever happened to me before. The soldering wire is not the best, never leaving me with bright joints, the soldering paste is more like soldering rosin, and its fine, but I prefer paste better. Its also harder to clean. The tweezers bends suuper easy. The soldering iron heats up quickly, but the temperature showed in the screen is not the real time temperature which I’m fine with. It seems so be fairly accurate when holding a specific temperature.The soldering extractor pump works as expected but feels cheap (also expected but could do better for sure).It also comes with a stand which is the only accessory that is worth it.In general, for the price, I would NOT recommend to purchase this product, you could get a cheaper one with less accessories and get the accessories separate for probably 5 or 10 more dollars but ending up with a better kit than this trash.NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
