The Baby

There’s a baby in your house. It isn’t yours….
The day I was told I’d never be able to have a child, my world came crashing down.My husband says he still loves me, but I lie awake at night, wishing we could have a family.
One morning, my husband’s side of the bed is cold and empty. I hear a noise and head downstairs.
In the middle of the rug in my living room is a wooden drawer. Swaddled inside, with perfect rosy cheeks and beautiful round blue eyes, a baby gazes up at me.
I shiver. It’s all I’ve ever wanted, but this baby is not mine….
An absolutely addictive thriller with heart-pounding twists from beginning to end. Fans of The Woman in the Window, Freida McFadden, and Lisa Jewell won’t be able to put this jaw-dropping psychological thriller down!

ALMOST HIT THE MARK
“The Baby” is a solid psychological thriller that kept me hooked. The story is intense and full of twists, making it a real page-turner. The characters are interesting, and the suspense is well done. However, it missed that extra oomph that makes a book unforgettable. Some parts felt a bit predictable, and I wanted a bit more excitement.Overall, it’s a gripping and enjoyable read, but it just didn’t hit that 5-star mark for me. If you love thrillers, give it a try!

The Baby – A J McDine
Rating: 3.25 StarsInteresting plot that is very drawn out with more rambling details than needed. You could easily skip over a few paragraphs at a time without getting lost. I believe the reviews for this book are HIGHLY inflated.

Good read if you like this genre
Stupid reviews -jaw dropping? No, but it’s ok enough and pretty well written. The ending was satisfying . So many authors have a great story line and then they don’t know how to do the ending. It has to be so challenging. Only a few know how to do this. Hey- just my musings, no reflection on this author.

Great character development
The author paints the picture so well as to how in the world anyone could stay with a man like Miles, a difficult one for many of us to understand. Interesting twists and turns, different points of view creatively woven in. Excellent audio companion narration.I will definitely check out others by this author.

A J McDine did a fantastic job of walking us through this psychological tragedy. I couldn’t put it down. Step by step we were thrilled with what would be discovered next.

This is a like a satisfying easy run on a sunny day! A page turner with quite a unique storyline which kept my interest throughout. Yes it was predictable and I wouldn’t say ‘jaw dropping’ but the likeable characters and local setting kept me very entertained.
