A necessary purchase!
I have been using my bread machine for over 5 years, well before the price of bread sky rocketed. Needless to say I had become weary of seeing the same recipes. Not anymore! This is a must for those who want variety in breads. The recipes are down to earth with ingredients already in the pantry and details for 1,1 1/2 and 2 pound loafs. Tips and substitutions are listed and the print is easy to read. It does not matter if you are a beginner or experienced using a bread machine, this cookbook is for you. It would be nice if pictures were included, but for me it is no big deal. I have a cookbook collection of over 100 books and this one has become one of my top 5. Buy it now!

The bread tastes wonderful and the recipies are easy to follow
I purchased this along with a new bread machine. I have tried several recipes and my wife and I have been amazed at every one of them. I used to rely on bread mixes because they are quick and easy. One reason that I switched from using mixes was the cost. A box of bread mix could cost $9+ and the shipping for 1 to 3 boxes could be $9+. If you are pressed for time, the prepared mixes are very good . While it does take me longer to prepare the recipe, I find it fun and not too time consuming. The book claims 10 minutes to prepare. I haven’t timed my preparation time as I have what ever time it takes me and the results are well worth the time it takes. My point is , don’t expect the recipe to always be ready in exactly 10 minutes. It may take 15 minutes or longer to prepare everything I have always been afraid to try anything other than a basic white or wheat recipe for bread because I was thought that I would mess it up. With the results from this book, even if I don’t think the bread turned out perfectly, I want to try the recipe again. Normally, if something doesn’t turn out right, I may shelve it to possibly try at a later time, then move on to something else. My problem now is that I want to make the breads again that I have already tried and make new recipes. There are just so many loaves of bread that we can enjoy at one time! I do keep some of the loaves in the refrigerator, but even they are gone within a week. Right now I am in a quandary, do I make a recipe that we enjoyed or do I try something new?We have tried a basic white bread, a cinnamon raisin bread, zucchini pecan bread, oatmeal bread and peanut butter bread. The peanut butter bread really good with a little jelly (or jam or preserves) spread on it. If you have a bread machine and are at all interested in enjoying different breads, you should add this cookbook to your library.

Easy to read, great information, perfect homemade bread
This book is a great companion to any bread machine. The No-Fuss Bread Machine Cookbook: Hands-Off Recipes for Perfect Homemade Bread by Michelle Anderson gives ingredient measurements for 1 pound, 1.5 pound, and 2 pound loaves. It really is a “No-Fuss” cookbook. It’s well worth the price, as my Neretva bread maker manual is not very detailed. The one pound recipes in the No-Fuss cookbook are the ones I use in my Neretva on the 750 gram setting (1.5 pound), and they come out great every time. I also highly recommend the Neretva 20-IN-1 Bread Maker, Dual Heater 1.5LB/2LB Bread Machine.

Extensive Collection of Recipes / Few Photos
First impression only, as I haven’t had time to try any of the recipes. I have been getting back into cooking at home more recently, and resuming breadmaking is on my list. I’d probably already be doing more of it already with the way that prices have gone up, especially on artisan-quality items. Our next door neighbor, who we often send over some of our soups, chili, etc. over to, is gluten-intolerant so she can’t enjoy most breads. I haven’t figured out a good recipe for a GF version yet. This cookbook doesn’t offer any options that way. I was hoping that it would. Also, I am a visual person, and I was hoping for more photos showcasing what the bread loaves should look like. That’s the main reason for only four stars out of five. The only photographs are on the chapter heading pages. That’s disappointing to me.As far as actual recipes go, most seem straightforward and without a lot of fuss about the ingredients. The collection of potential breads to make covers most any kind of pantry items you might conceive of to go into a loaf of bread. In the past I’ve had best luck with savory loaves, adding herbs for extra flavor and interest. I just bought a new jar of bread machine yeast, and I have flour on hand. Ready to get experimenting!

Love this book. Consistently great recipes.
I got a bread machine for Christmas and bought this to expand beyond the re ups booklet that came with the machine. I have made at a dozen different recipes and they have all turned out great. One note about sourdough. I tried to make a starter base using the very first recipe and not seeing that or reading that you have to feed the starter daily. It does not tell you that with the original starter recipe. She only mentioned that in subsequent versions of sourdough starter that she has in the book. So just be forewarned about that. Mine went bad and I had to throw it out. Also, I made a cornbread recipe that did not call for yeast and that didn’t work out, but honestly, that was the only failure in the book. I really do love this book and I use it all the time.
