yummy and spicy
I read this for a Fable book club and itās only the second book Iāve ever read by Ana Huang. I completely forgot how GOOD her writing style is and how sheās amazing at spicy scenes. Ana writes strong, likeable, believable characters that you canāt help but love. My BBOTW (book boyfriend of the week) is officially Rhys Larsen.Love the bodyguard trope. The princess theme did remind me of a grown up version of the Princess Diaries, which might be why it works so well! I also love how Bridget is sophisticated and well mannered during the day, but then a complete w***e for Rhys behind closed doors. Female goals right there lol.

Adorable
I’m not gonna lie the princess x bodyguard troupe isn’t for me, but I love the author. The book itself was amazing, the details and plot was great. I did love how they overcame the obstacles together. The last 3ish chapters did feel slightly rushed but at the same time I saw why the author did what she did. Overall great book and the spice was the best so far

AMAZING BOOK! Good pace of story!
I loved this book. I just started getting into books again, and this book, suggested by friend (a serious book-reader), and iām glad she did!the pace of the story, the word placement, the word choices, were all really good. Plus, I get really involved in the story. itās not hard to at all, she makes it easy. One minor complaint, which really not all a complaint, but an observation. Through all her books, she used the same examples. Meaning, she uses the same word choices throughout her books, ādonāt look ma gift horse in the mouth,ā iāve read a few times throughout the 3 books iāve read in the twisted series. waiting on book 4. But yeah, something like that. Which it doesnāt really matter if thatās not something that annoys you, the repetition, but i just thought iād put it out there.Either way, AMAZING BOOK!

Buddy Reading Worthy! (Not your tradition “Cinderalla” story) READ WITH CAUTION! SPOILERS AHEAD!
My friend and I are buddy reading this series together, and this was a nice read. A lot of repeats on characteristics and emotions like Rhys’s eyes being “stormy” and “steel” like, butterfly infested stomachs, and “she’s different” vibes. If it weren’t for those constant repeats, I might have rayed it higher. It was a bit rushed with Rhys’s found family trope, but a nice touch anyway! Ana Huang does have a thing with having her characters making deals or bets that’s supposed to draw them closer together, and this time, it was to follow orders without question, but I didn’t see the point since Rhys became so whipped to the point he couldn’t stay away/keep his hands off Bridget throughout their story! I’d say this was also a bit of a slow burn if you’re expecting a love confession right away! Huang did a good job with portraying Bridget’s emotions so strongly, too! With the reflection of her parents’ death, the feeling of being placed last as a person, the guilt of her grandfather’s heart attack, and being heartbroken, I was really in my feelings when reading through that. With the twists in the end, my friend and I were both screaming and crying from how things wrapped up! I’d recommend as a buddy read for sure to talk about the spicy scenes, the twists, the pain, and laughs! This will work as a read alone too, but I’ve heard both series are intertwined one way or another. Why not read it with a friend or book club?

From enemies to frenemies to friends to lovers?! Um HELLO?!š¤And Rhys Larsen?Rhys LARSEN?!RHYS LARSEN?! RAW NEXTš© like seriously heās the definition of āheāll burn the world for her.ā He was going to burn the monarchy for Bridget and we STAN a ātouch her and šā kingš„“ššāāļøOverall, I have absolutely no complaints about this book. Every part of it was perfect and now Iām scared Iām gonna fall into a reading slumpš„² but it was a sacrifice I was willing to makešāāļø

So enjoyed this story of the princess and the bodyguard. Their story was sweet and she brought the romantic man out of him. From him giving her one word answers, to a lot of words of love and Forever.Narration was amazing.

I love me a forbidden trope. Princess/bodyguard?? Um hellooo?? Who would not love that? This book is one of my favorites so far. I am envious to all the people who gets to read twisted games for the first time. The character development is amazing. How the FMC evolves into this strong powerful women while the MMC overcomes his fears. The love story was chefs kiss, the spicy scenes was chefs kiss and the little plot twist with Rhys left my jaw hanging. Love love love
